Rules & Entry:

The Great American Song Contest is open to songwriters, lyricists, and music composers worldwide.

The Great American Song Contest is designed to support songwriters who write for the love of the craft. Semi-professional songwriters are also welcome, with eligibility limited to individuals earning under $10,000 annually in music publishing royalties

Entry Fee: $40 per song.
Entry Limit: Entry Limit: There is a limit of 10 songs per songwriter per year.
Deadline: This year’s submission deadline is November 18, 2026.

 

All entrants will be sent an entry confirmation and judging schedule once their songs are received and processed.

AI Authorship Policy
To ensure the integrity of the contest, all entries must be the original work of a human songwriter.

Allowed: AI tools used to assist the creative process. This includes using AI for instrumentation, backing tracks and vocals, or using AI to help develop a melody for your original human-written lyrics. 

🚫 Not Allowed: Songs generated entirely by AI (where both the lyrics and music are created by the machine with minimal human input).
