The Great American Song Contest features prizes and awards in 10 songwriting categories, including a Christian/Inspirational category for Christian songwriters.

In a typical year, the Adult Contemporary (AC) category receives the greatest number of entries. The Christian/Inspirational category receives fewer entries but has continues to grow in popularity.

MUSIC-INDUSTRY JUDGES

The Christian category features well-known music-industry judges, including Michael Anderson, the award-winning songwriter and Christian recording artist who earned a Dove Award nomination for his song Emmanuel, along with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.
