Artist: Kathleen Lamb

The Christian category winner of the 9th Annual Great American Song Contest is Kathleen Lamb, a young woman who loves to share her faith and music with church congregations in her hometown of Houston, Texas.

Kathleen's inspirational song "The Day the Angels Cried" earned accolades from contest Judges for its exceptional melodic composition and powerfully effective lyric.

"I've guess I've been writing songs for about eight years," Kathleen says, "but it's only been in the last few years that my songs have been noticed by people beyond my church. One of my goals is to market my songs and hopefully share my music with a wider audience."

Kathleen is an impressive vocalist as well as a gifted songwriter. She is also a Music Director at Spirit of Joy! Church in The Woodlands, Texas, where she incorporates her original songs into the worship programs.
